About
bike-packing.app is built around a simple idea: most bikepacking advice gets too abstract, too gear-heavy, or too generic. What riders actually need is a clean system for repeatable packlists, realistic fueling ideas, and honest lessons from real riding.
The project is created by Christian Ruf and shaped by practical bikepacking and endurance use cases: preparing setups faster, reducing friction before trips, and keeping the whole process simple enough that you actually use it before every ride.
The blog follows the same principle. It is not trying to publish endless recycled listicles. It focuses on concrete setups, endurance experiments, training workflows, and lessons that are useful for riders planning real bikepacking trips or ultra-distance events.
If a piece of content does not help with decision-making in the real world, it does not belong here. That is the filter behind both the app and the articles.
